It's not a replacement for your Bible but will help you appreciate all the more what you read in the Gospel accounts. It will be appreciated by young and old alike as it brings to life these people and the events they lived through, a real help if you're starting out or struggling with reading them in the Bible. I've spent years trying to find something like this that is easy (even compelling) reading and represents a faithful account of what the Bible records instead of presenting 'nice' stories 'based upon' Biblical events. Mary = Myriam, Jesus = Yeshua others retain their Greek rendering, i.e. Some characters are named with their Hebrew rendering, i.e. Each page includes Bible references for checking or studying the original text and there are helpful maps and character profiles included at the back of the book. Manga Majesty also has useful referencing to the actual Book of Revelations at the bottom of each page.
It's a pretty accurate and faithful account of the combined narrative of the four Gospels which record for us the coming of and the mission of Jesus.
